Bengaluru: The mortal remains of five Kannadigas, including Janata Dal (S) leaders KG Hanumanthappa and M Rangappa, who lost their lives in the tragic Sri Lanka Easter bombings which took place on Sunday, was brought back to Bengaluru, late night on Tuesday, April 23.
JD (S) Supremo HD Devegowda and Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy paid their last respects to the deceased party leaders.
Devegowda and Kumaraswamy spoke to the family members of the people who lost their lives in the terror attack and expressed their condolences.
The mortal remains of the deceased were kept at Dr B R Ambedkar Stadium Nelamangal, for the public to pay their final respect.
Devegowda who arrived at the stadium said “Terrorism is creating fear among people all around the globe. There will be no peace in the society until and unless terrorism is completely destroyed. Everybody should join hands to exterminate terrorist activities”.
