Bengaluru: The state government has decided to increase the bus fare of all the government buses by 12 percent.
According to the reports, the revised bus rates will be applicable from Tuesday, February 25 midnight onwards.
It can be recalled that the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation had submitted a proposal to the government with regard to hiking the bus ticket charges.
The government has given its nod after several rounds of discussion.
Reports suggest that this will not be applicable for the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC).
With regard to this, Under Secretary to Government (Transport Department) M Sathyavathi has passed an official order which reads that the revised rates will be applicable to KSRTC, The North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) and the North Eastern Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NEKRTC).
