Mysuru: The district recorded five more COVID-19 cases taking total positive cases to eight in the district. All the five positive cases are reported from world famous temple town of Nanjanagud.
Following the lab test reports, the district administration classified Nanjanagud as a cluster case. It is the first cluster case of the state.
According to the authorities, all these five are suspected to have contacted virus from the Patient number 3 of the district (P52 of Karnataka), an employee with a pharma company by name Jubilant.
The district administration locked down the entire town and no vehicle or person is allowed to move in or out of the district.
As per sources at least 950 per sons have been asked to remained quarantined here.
