Ex-CM Siddu attacks Shah with barrage of tweets as he arrives in state-1Bengaluru: Union Home Minister and BJP national president Amit Shah arrived in Bengaluru on Saturday, January 18.

Just as he arrived in the city, Congress leader and former chief minister Siddaramaiah flooded his Twitter profile with tweets slamming the BJP government and the (Citizenship Amendment) Act. He used the #AnswerMadiShah to berate the Union minister.

"Before investing time to brainwash people to accept your divisive policies, Why don't you visit flood affected areas again & assess if the Central govt funds are sufficient or not? [sic]" he wrote in the first of nine tweets.

"@BSYBJP has claimed loss of over ₹35,000 due to floods but your aid is just ₹1,870 Cr. When are you planning to give the remaining? Wil there be any funds left after the implementation of CAA, NPR & NRC? [sic]" he questioned with #AnswerMadiShah.

Commenting on the Mahadayi water project, the Opposition leader asked, "Your colleagues give contradictory statements on the initiation of Mahadayi project. Why is there a change in stance after elections? What is your stand on the issue? [sic]"

He then spoke about the police firing in Mangaluru on December 19, 2019, which resulted in the death of two persons. "Two innocent victims were killed in Mangaluru in what public opinion says that it is a fake encounter. You are the Home minister of the Country. Don't you think adequate investigation has to take place when people cry foul about the incident? [sic]" he asked.

After a few tweets in Kannda asking the same questions, the former CM wrote, "I strongly condemn the alleged act of SDPI workers to target pro CAA-NRC leaders. I urge govt to investigate without any bias & arrest the guilty. Acts of extremism should always be curtailed irrespective of the groups they are identified with. [sic]"

"Alleged SDPI incident should not be the reason to target &stop anti-CAA protests. As Gandhiji said, An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. The protestors should follow Gandhiji's Satyagraha &Ahimsa principles. Our fight against CAA shall be continued till it's revoked, [sic]" he added.

Amit Shah will be travelling to Hubballi later today to attend a pro-CAA convention.
