Bengaluru: Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa on Thursday April 29 directed the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to take steps to ensure timely oxygen supply to hospitals. He directed the hospitals across the state to conduct an audit of oxygen and Remdesivir vials.
He said that medical facilities like oxygenated beds, ventilators, and Remdesivir should be given only to the needy.
CM took stock of the covid situation in the state during a videoconference with district in-charge Ministers, DCs, CEOs of Zilla Panchayats, and Superintendents of Police.
The state government asked the DCs to take the help of neighbouring districts in case of shortage of oxygen. The district administration has been directed to take up preventive measures to contain COVID-19 on priority.
The Chief Minister asked the DCs to set up covid care centres on priority, wherever necessary. In case of a shortage of personnel, they were told to take the services of human resources from various departments to manage the situation.
