Bengaluru: After KN Rajanna, brother DK Suresh, daughter Aishwarya, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, leaders, and other relatives, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a summons to arrested Congress leader DK Shivakumar’s mother Gauramma and wife Usha. They have been asked to appear before the inquiry on Thursday, October 17.
According to sources, Gauramma and Usha (who do not have any formal income) transferred huge amounts of money to the various bank accounts of relatives and these are the transactions that the ED is looking into.
“At this stage, DKShi doesn’t have an escape route. The case is becoming stronger,” said a Congress leader who is privy to the developments.
It can be recalled that DKShi was arrested by ED under various provisions of the money laundering act in the last week of September. He is likely to spend a few more weeks in Tihar jail as the probe agency is looking to ask for a further extension of his custody.
