EC registers complaint against Tejaswi Soorya

Bengaluru: The Election Commission officials have registered a case against Bengaluru South Lok Sabha constituency BJP candidate Tejaswi Soorya for campaigning through the social media on the day of polling.

According to the model code of conduct, no campaigning should be done on the day of polling, but Tejaswi Soorya, after casting his vote floated a video in the social media saying ”I have cast my vote, you too cast your vote and help Narendra Modi win and India win”.

The Siddapura police have confirmed that the EC has registered a complaint based on this video floated by Tejaswi.
