Bengaluru: Karnataka police personnel and staff are set to recieve a Diwali bumper after the state government announced that it will be increasing the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Hardship Allowance (HA) with immediate effect on Saturday, October 19.
The state government issued the new order based on the Raghavendra Auradkar Committee Report.
As per the committee report, the monthly salary of newly-joined police constables will be Rs 34,267 per month as opposed to the earlier salary of Rs 30,427 per month.
On the current HA, an additional HA of Rs 1000 will be sanctioned to all staff of the police department.
