Bengaluru: In a big relief to D K Shivakumar’s family, the Delhi High Court has stayed the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) summons to his mother Gauramma and wife Usha.
DKShi’s advocates informed that the court has imposed a temporary stay on the summons. Both Gauramma and Usha are facing allegations of routing huge sums of money from undisclosed sources to various accounts across the globe.
These amounts have been routed through various banks’ branches. Now the ED is trying to find the source of the money.
It can be recalled that DKShi was arrested in September in connection with an alleged money laundering case and is currently lodged in the Tihar jail. His judicial custody is slated to end on October 25. The CBI is also expected to open a case against the Congress leader and former Karnataka state minister at any given time.
