Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan, who is also the higher education minister, announced that 43 Sanskrit schools across the state will be given government aid.
Speaking at an event organised by a Brahmin organisation, he announced that this decision has been taken to protect the language and the vast treasure of knowledge in the Sanskrit books.
“A committee of experts already visited all these 43 schools and reviewed their performance. The committee members are happy with the way these schools are functioning,” he said.
MLA M Krishnappa, who was also present in the event, announced Rs 50 lakhs for a Brahmin organisation building.
