Bengaluru: The Government of Karnataka, on Thursday, postponed the examinations for class 10th SSLC students until further notice. The examinations were previously scheduled to be held from April 27 till May 9.
Making an announcement in this regard, Education Minister Suresh Kumar said, “Class 10th SSLC exams which were scheduled to be held from April 27 to May 9 have been postponed till further notice. Ten days of revision classes will be conducted before the examination dates.”
This announcement was made amidst reports that the lockdown would be extended beyond April 14 in red zones.
So far, Karnataka has reported 197 COVID-19 cases. Thursday saw a huge surge in cases as 16 persons tested positive between the last update on Wednesday and the latest update on Thursday.
The state also reported an additional death today, taking the total death toll to six.
