Bengaluru: When BJP leaders locked horns with the Kannada activists over the allegations of Hindi imposition and sidelining of Kannada in the administration, the Congress seems to have decided to use the opportunity to gain its lost glory in the state.
On Sunday morning, followers of newly appointed party state in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala had a pleasant surprise when they saw his tweet in Kannada.
In two tweets in Kannada, Surjewala took on the central government for its failures to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
He said that Corona cases have crossed the 50 lakh mark in the country and five lakh mark in the state. He quizzed if the governments at the state and the centre have any plans to tackle the pandemic or they want to continue to call it n ‘Act of God’.
As expected his tweets won the hearts of Kannada activists.
It is his first tweet in Kannada and according to the sources, the KPCC social media cell has decided to use every opportunity to attack ruling BJP in the state.
