Bengaluru: The Congress party announced its candidates for all the 20 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state late on Saturday night. The list has no surprise elements.
According to the list, all the incumbent MPs, except S P Muddahanumegowda have been given tickets to contest in the elections. Tumakuru, from where Muddahanumegowda was selected, has now been allocated to the JDS.
The names featured on the candidates’ list are Prakash Hukkeri (Chikkodi), Voripakshi Sadunnavar (Belagavi), Veena Kashappanavar (Bagalkot), Mallikarjun Kharge (Kalaburugi), B V Nayak (Rayachuru), MLA Eshwar Khandre (Bidar), Basavaraj K Hintal (Koppal), V S Ugrappa (Ballari), D R Patil (Gadag), Shakir Sanadi (Dharwad), S S Mallikarjun (Davanagere), Mithun Rai (Mangaluru), B N Chandrappa (Chithradurga), Vijayashankar (Mysuru), D K Suresh (Bengaluru Rural), Rizwan Arshad (Bengaluru Central), K Govindraj (Bengaluru South), K H Muniyappa (Kolar), R Dhruvanarayana (Chamarajanagar) and former chief minister Veerappa M Moily (Chikkaballapura).
