Bengaluru: Karnataka remains clueless as it awaits to begin the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination for senior citizens and those above 45 years with comorbidities in three more days.

All person above 45 years will be inoculated on March 4th. It is estimated that 1.3-1.5 crore people will be vaccinated under this category.

To administer the vaccine, 20,000 private vaccination centres and 10,000 government-run centres will be set up throughout the state. The government is yet to determine the slab prices for private hospitals while it will be free at government facilities.

While the state waits for the central government’s guidelines, a booth-wise list of beneficiaries is being prepared.

There are also talks about compulsory registration on the C-Win app before the vaccination drive.

Dr KV Trilok Chandra, health commissioner told TOI that there is no clarity about which vaccine is to be used- Covishield or Covaxin.
