Bangalore :State Minister for Irrigation Shivaraj Tangadagi has said that check dams would be constructed in all districts of the state in the next five year period in order to raise underground water level, in the wake of the acute shortage of drinking water across the state.
Replying to a question from BJP member Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri in the Assembly, the minister the underground water level in the state is being reviewed on a time to time basis He also stated that recycling of water has also become essential.
Shivaraj Tangadagi also said that all measures would be taken to ensure that there is no depletion of underground water.
