Bengaluru: The CCB sleuths in Bengaluru busted an international drug racket on Friday, November 29. They arrested a man for obtaining drugs from Canada and transporting them to India.
According to a report by ANI, the arrested accused has been identified as Atif Aslam from Kolkata.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao said that Aslam would contact drug dealers in Canada through the dark web and obtain contraband to be delivered to India.
The report also states that the police confiscased 14 marihuana packets that were stored in milk powder boxes weighing 2 kgs and 750 gms, 12 chocolate packs, weed-flavoured cigarettes, cash worth Rs one lakh among other items from his possession.
The Sadduguntepalya police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused and an investigation is underway.
