Bengaluru: The man who recently went viral for riding a sports bike at the speed of 299 kmph on the Electronic City elevated expressway, has been arrested by the Central Crime Branch police.
T Muniyappan (30), a businessman and resident of Domlur had taken the video himself and later uploaded it to his Instagram account. According to the police, the video was uploaded to the Instagram handle bluebeast46 on July 5. The handle has posted similar videos in the past.
According to a report by TOI, DCP (traffic east) M Narayana said that they have proof that the accused rode his bike at high speeds on July 17, during the lockdown.

Muniyappan has been charged with rash and negligent driving and violation of the lockdown rules. His Yamaha R1 superbike has also been impounded. According to TOI, the accused purchased the bike in January 2019 and costs about Rs 22 lakhs.
