Bengaluru: The CCTV footage from outside an eatery in Bengaluru, caught a shocking incident on Sunday afternoon. In the video posted by ANI, a speeding SUV can be seen going off the road and on to the pavement, mowing down the pedestrians in its way.
The incident is reported to have occurred in HSR Layout at around 2 PM on Sunday, when the allegedly drunk driver of the Mahindra Xylo ploughed into the parked two-wheelers and men and women who were standing on the footpath.
Four of the unfortunate pedestrians were seriously injured in the incident and were admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Police told ANI, “A car driven by a drunk man ploughed into pedestrians and injured seven people in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout.”

The driver was arrested and charged accordingly. This is reportedly the second such incident to occur in Bengaluru within a week.
