Mangaluru: Raged by the transfer of Dakshina Kannda DC Sindhu B Roopesh, MLA UT Khader has attacked the state government for siding with the wrong.

It is said that the second woman DC Of DK, Sindhu Roopesh was transferred with immediate effect on July 28 because she had issued stern warning to those attacking the cattle transporters.

Close on the heels of the DC asking the police department to crack the whip on those attacking the cattle transporters, a screenshot of a chat on a whatsapp group started making rounds, where a user is seen commenting that the DC must be ‘chopped to pieces’.

On July 28, the DC’s transfer order was out and Dr Rajendra KV was appointed as the new DC of Dakshina Kannada.

Responsing to the same, Khader tweeted that when Corona is smothering the people, the BJP leaders are smothering the bureaucrats.

“We are facing a serious issue. Instead of standing by the officials and the bureaucrats, the BJP government is attacking them. The miscreants are issuing death threat to the DC for warning them of stern action if they resort to taking laws into their hands. Instead of punishing the culprits, the government is punishing the DC,” he wrote in his tweet, tagging Home Minister Basavraj Bommai and CM S Yediyurappa.

“Is this your justice,” the MLA questioned in the tweet.
