Bengaluru: After the Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition failed in the confidence motion here on Tuesday, July 23, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy along with all the other coalition leaders and MLAs walked out of the house. On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and MLAs, led by their state chief B S Yeddyurappa showed victory symbol to the cameras and posed with unity.
Addressing the media outside the Assembly hall, BSY said, “It is now time that the state witnesses a fresh new chapter. We will stand with the farmers and run a pro-farmer government.”
Assuring of a stable government he said, “We are observing that the farmers of our state are suffering due to unimaginable drought situation. I will see to it that they come out of this agony and darkness.”
“As the people of the state are tired of the year-long rule by the H D Kumaraswamy-led government, I assure the people of the state that they will see an all-round governance with transformations”, he added.
