Bengaluru: A 9-year-old boy was severely injured after coming into contact with a live electric wire, here on Friday, April 27.
The injured boy is Charan, a resident of Mahalakshmi Layout.
Yesterday, at around 7:35 PM, the ball that Charan was playing within the company of his friends, strayed near a hanging live electric wire.
When Charan went to collect the ball, he accidentally touched the high voltage wire due to which he was severely injured.
He was immediately rushed to the Columbia Asia Hospital’s Emergency Ward.
The doctors have kept him under 24-hour-observation.
Charan’s father Basavaraj is a cab driver and Revati is a homemaker.
People have blamed Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Pallike (BBMP) officials for their negligence, as just two days ago, another boy named Vikram had died because of a carelessly left hanging live wire.
