Bengaluru: Boeing India, with Doctors for You (DFY) and SELCO Foundation, on Saturday June 19 have established a 100 oxygenated bed facility at Karnataka State Power Corporation Ltd. (KSPCL), Yelahanka, to treat mild-to-moderate COVID 19 cases.

The hospital was built from the ground up in less than 20 days. Of the 100-oxygen beds, 10-beds are dedicated for 1CU services and 20-beds for the High Dependency Units (HDU) ward.

After inaugurating the hospital Karnataka CM Yediyurappa said, “It is commendable that corporates have joined hands with the government in the fight against COVID second wave. It is indeed a great pleasure that Boeing India has partnered with the SELCO Foundation and DFY to build a 100-bed oxygenated super-specialty COVID care facility at the KSPCL campus in Yelahanka,” he said.

Further, DV Sadanand Gowda, union minister of chemicals and fertilisers said “It is heartening to see private private-public collaboration to augment health infrastructure and create a positive impact to people in need.”

Speaking on this occasion Dr. Harish Hande, Founder of SELCO Foundation said, “the hospital includes all the concepts of sustainability, as it is using solar power. Sustainability will play a crucial role amid the covid crisis,” he added.
