Bengaluru: Bomb suspect Aditya Rao, on Wednesday, January 22, was produced before a Bengaluru court after he surrendered himself to the Bengaluru police.
Rao, an MBA graduate who is the prime suspect in the Mangaluru International Airport bomb scare, was produced before the First ACMM Court in Bengaluru by the Mangaluru police, who currently has custody of the suspect. Earlier, he was taken from the Halasuru Police Station to the court while under city police protection.
The Bengaluru court directed the police to produce Rao in the Mangaluru JMFC court before 5 PM on Thursday, January 23.
Soon after, the Mangaluru police booked flight tickets from Bengaluru to Mangaluru. He has been taken to the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, from where they will board a 7.15 PM flight to Mangaluru.
Security at the Bengaluru airport was beefed up ahead of Rao’s arrival.
