Bengaluru: BJP scaled down its target from the state from Mission 22 to 18. According to a report sent to the party national leadership, the party may not win 22 seats as expected earlier.
According to the party sources, the party analysis revealed that the JDS-Congress alliance worked well in most of the constituencies including Mysuru, Mandya and Hassan. “We scaled down the number to 18,” confirmed a senior BJP leader.
“The feedback we received also revealed that party is in a bad situation in Bengaluru South and North Lok Sabha constituencies. In Shivamogga, reports of Idiga vote consolidation and money power used by the JDS has made the situation tough for BY Raghavendra,” he said.
