Bengaluru: Lashing out at the Bharatiya Janata Party legislators, orator and social activist Chakravarti Sulibele has said that all the BJP legislators who won the Lok Sabha elections with a difference of 4 lakh votes or just 40 thousand votes, are the beneficiaries of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity. “These legislators should realise this and work for the development”.
In his Facebook post, Sulibele has posted that if Modi was not there, most of the legislators of Karnataka would have faced the same fate as Mallikarjun Kharge and K H Muniyappa. “They would have faced a crushing defeat”, he opined.
“The legislators of Karnataka won the elections not only because of Modi’s popularity, but also due to his developmental works, daring decisions and his policies in the interest of the nation. So instead of jubilantly celebrating the victory, which is not theirs, the legislators should look into the developmental works that need to be undertaken.”
He said that the legislators should come out of their comfort zone and sincerely work for their respective constituencies. “Recently, Sadananda Gowda has made a caste based remark making way to traditional politics. The people of Uttara Kannada are fighting for an ‘Emergency Hospital’ and when they approached Anant Kumar Hegde to submit a petition regarding the same, he has told that he is not doing any work relating to the state.”
“Being a legislator, can’t he ask the state government to undertake any developmental work? It is time for the voters to make these people come out of their comfort zones and work for the constituency,” stated Sulibele in his post.
