Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Urban and Rural districts will go into a complete lockdown for an entire week from July 14 to July 22. This is being done in view of the spike in the number of COVID-19 positive cases in the city.
The lockdown will commence from 8 PM on July 14 till 5 AM on July 22. Only essential services will be exempted from the lockdown restrictions, according to a statement released by the Chief Minister’s Office.
So far, Bengaluru Urban has recorded a total of 16,862 and Bengaluru Rural has a total of 345 confirmed novel coronavirus cases.
As on July 11, Karnataka has a total of 36216 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 613 deaths.
