Bengaluru: Due to the lockdown, this year the BBMP is expected to present its budget via video conference.
According to L Shrinivas, chairman, standing committee on taxation and finance, as per the plan, he will present the budget from the BBMP office.
Arrangements will be made in all the zonal offices to participate in the budget presentation through video conference.
“A date will be finalised on Monday,” he said.
According to the BBMP sources, this year, due to the delay in the budget presentation and approval, the corporation is struggling to meet the expenses.
“Vote on account is also not taken for urgent expenses. Now, the BBMP is forced to spend money without any approvals,” sources in the BBMMP informed.
