All party meet brings ruling-opposition together to fight COVID-19

Bengaluru: The all party meet chaired by CM BS Yediyurappa held on the back drop of Covid 19 spread across the state decided to fight the virus threat together.

The opposition parties extended all support to CM BSY and authorised him to take all the important decisions.

The meeting attended by the senior leaders including former CMs Siddaramaiah and HD Kumaraswamy and KPCC president DK Shivakumar asked the state government to intensify the efforts to contain the spread of the Covid 19.

The leaders also urged the state government to extend all humanitarian aid to the needy including the migrant labourers.

According to the sources, in the meeting all the opposition party leaders raised the issue of police brutality.

They also questioned CM on the difference of opinion and statements given by the ministers and officers. At one point DK Shivakumar asked the CM to rein on his ministers who are giving misleading statements.

“We do not want to make politics out of this. We do not want to name them either, but it is evident that there is no co-ordination between the DCM and the ministers. Each one is making different statement,” he said adding that it is the duty of the CM to make sure there is no confusion.

DKShi assured complete support to the government from the party.

In the meeting, CM BS Yediyurappa explained the measures taken by the state government and sought the help and cooperation from the opposition leaders.
