Bengaluru: All India Congress Committee (AICC) is battling the leadership crisis. However, former CM of Karnataka and party strongman from the state Siddaramaiah has supported Rahul Gandhi as the new president.
The AICC is likely to appoint a new president in April. Presently Sonia Gandhi is serving as the interim president.
“Let Rahul Gandhi lead the party from the front. He is the most suitable leader for the post,” said Siddaramaiah.
He also expressed confidence that soon the AICC will resolve the issues surrounding the party state unit president post which is vacant over the last three months after the resignation of adhoc president Dineh Gundurao.
He also took a dig at the Union government and Prime Minister Modi saying the the BJP has been ruling the country without understanding the ground realities.
