Bengaluru: Colleges and universities across the state including the diploma colleges reopened today after the 10 months closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

As per the government SoPs, the Covid 19 tests are not made mandatory for the students. Meanwhile, attending classes too is optional. It can be recalled that final semester classes had started on December 17. SSLC and II PUC classes started on January 1.

In Bengaluru, many colleges started classes at 8 am to ensure that they can hold classes in two batches. For the first time after 10 months, college campuses are back to life.

With vaccines available, the Government is confident that the opening will not make way for the second Covid -19 wave.
