Reportedly, the accident occurred in the underbridge of Vasanth Nagar in Central Business District (CBD) near the High Grounds Police Station limits.
Mandre was said to have been travelling in a Jaguar car with her friend Lokesh Vasanth K. They were rushed to Fortis Hospital on Cunningham Road for immediate treatment.

The police have said that the actress and her friend might have been driving the vehicle while under the influence, however, they are waiting for the reports to confirm this theory. They added that the duo might have been out on a joy ride, in violation of the COVID-19 lockdown orders, as they did not even have a pass.
The Jaguar car bearing the registration number KA-51-MJ-2481 has been seized by the police.
According to ET, a case has been registered against the duo under sections 279, 337 of the IPC and 134 (B) of the Motor Vehicle Act. AN investigation is also underway.
As the duo was discharged from the hospital after they said they would take further treatment from their family doctors, the police are on the lookout for them.
