Bengaluru: The state reported a whopping 2,798 new COVID-19 cases and 70 deaths on Saturday, July 11. This brings the total number of confirmed novel coronavirus infections to 36,216 and death toll to 613.
The Bengaluru Urban district alone reported 1,533 cases. The Dakshina Kannada district reported 186 new cases.
Meanwhile, 880 people were discharged after making a full recovery from the disease. However, 504 people are being treated in ICUs across the state.
The breakup of the fresh cases are: Udupi (90), Mysuru (83), Tumakuru (78), Dharwad (77), Yadagir (74), Davanagere (72), Kalaburagi (65), Ballari (65), Bidar (63), Vijayapura (48), Uttara Kannada (40), Gadag (40), Bagalkot (37), Hassan (34), Ramanagar (30), Shivamogga (26), Mandya (23), Koppal (23), Chikkaballapura (20), Chamarajanagara (17), Haveri (16), Raichur (14), Kolar (12), Kodagu (12), Chitradurga (9), Bengaluru Rural (5), Belagavi (3), and Chikkamagaluru (3).
There are 20,883 active COVID-19 cases in the state. So far, a total of 14,716 have been discharged. Additionally, four people have died of non-COVID causes.
