Bengaluru: In Tumakuru district, 112 police officers have tested Covid positive. 110 of them received all vaccine doses and are either asymptomatic or have minor symptoms but are otherwise well.
Tumakuru Kona Vamsi Krishna, the superintendent of police, said that, “The police who tested positive benefited from having both doses. In comparison to other Covid patients who have not yet received the vaccine, their health is fine. Only two of the 110 are being treated in hospitals, and the rest are being quarantined at home.”
He also added that 97% of the police in the district have taken both the Covid doses.
