10 contacts of previous COVID-19 cases turn positive in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Ten contacts of previous corona positive cases turned positive among 10 new cases which surfaced in the last 19 hours, raising the total in Karnataka to 207, an official said on Friday.

“To date, 207 Covid positive cases have been confirmed. These include six deaths and 30 discharges,” a health official said.

Minister for Health B Sriramulu tweeted: “The 10 new cases surfaced between 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday noon. 10 new positive cases have been reported from 9th April 2020, 5:00 PM to 10th April 2020, 12:00 noon, taking the total number of #COVID19-19 positive cases to 207 in Karnataka.

Highest number of cases out of ten, ie five fresh positive cases have been reported from Mysuru, while two are from Bengaluru Rural, two from BBMP limits and one from Kalaburgi.

Out of the ten, six are men and four women.
