Bagalkot: Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has fired fresh salvo at Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and said that the latter is against people from a particular community.
This he said referring to the state government’s decision to cancel Tipu Jayanthi celebrations.
“I do not know why BSY hates Muslims. I do not know why he hates the religion. I started Tipu Jayanthi just the way I started Kanaka Jayanthi and Kempegowda Jayanthi. Tipu was a king who four fiercely against the British. Why Yediyurappa hates one community,” he questioned adding that the move to cancel Tipu Jayanthi shows the communal mindset of the BJP.
Wondering why the people even vote for the BJP, Siddaramaiah said that when he was the CM, he introduced a slew of ‘Bhagya Schemes’ which benefited the poor. “What has he done so far? People need to be smart and cast their votes,” he said.
