Kolar: In a shocking incident, a pregnant woman unattended by the doctors, suffered labour pain for hours and ultimately lost her baby. The unfortunate incident took place in KGF government hospital.
Sameena, wife of KGF 8th block resident Riyaz, developed labour pain in the afternoon of Monday, May 27. She was taken to KGF government hospital, but was not attended by any doctor. She suffered labour pain for about 4 hours in the hospital and yet no doctor bothered to come to her aid.
Finally, she was taken to Kolar District Hospital. But unfortunately Sameena delivered a stillborn baby as she was not treated at the right time.
Dismayed by the fate of their daughter, Sameena’s parents have urged the government to appoint responsible medical staff at KGF government hospital and expressed their distress over the behaviour of the doctors at the hospital.
