Kolar: A II PUC girl was found dead in the Vadrahalli village under the Betamangala police limits of Kolar. According to police sources, a 23-year-old youth named Vinod, a resident of the same village, used her after promising to marry her. She is said to have slipped into depression after he cheated on her.
“Her mother is a daily wage labourer. On Sunday night, when her mother and sister went out, she committed suicide by hanging. Photos of Vinod were recovered from her possession,” said police sources.
Vinod has been arrested under the provisions of the POCSO and SC/ST Atrocities Act.
