Police registers case against 3 for fake voting in Kasargod

Kasargod: A case has been registered by the Periyaram police against CPM Gram Panchayath member and two others for fake voting in the Lok Sabha election on April 23 in Kasargod Lok Sabha Constituency.

The State Election Commissioner has confirmed that the fake voting was done in Pilathara UP school (Ward no. 19) by Pariyaram Gram Panchayat member Salina, former members of the Pariyaram Panchayat Sumayya and Padmini.

The EC gave instructions to register a complaint after checking the video footage of the voting process in the said booth. A case has been registered by the Pariyaram police as per his instructions.

In many polling stations of the districts, there were allegations of fake voting, especially in CPM and Muslim League strongholds.

Notices have been served to Faiz and Aashik to be present for hearing in front of the Kasargod DC regarding the fake voting cases in the two voting booths of Kalliasherry.
