Kasargod: The Kasargod district administration, all of a sudden banned the inter-district travel between Dakshina Kannada and Kasargod, on Tuesday.

It may be recalled that passes were issued by both the districts to people who travel between the two districts for work everyday.

However, with the Corona cases spiking in Dakshina Kannada, the Kasargod district admnistration decided to stop the same.

As per the new rule, a person can travel to either of the sides only once a month and after travelling he/she is required to stay in that place for 28 days.

As the new rules was implemented on Tuesday scores of people were seen stranded at Talapady checkpost. They were clueless about the new rules, said many.

As per sources, the passes were cancelled by the state government of Kerala on Monday.
