Kasargod MP visits sea erosion affected areas

Kasargod: Newly elected Kasargod MP Rajmohan Unnithan visited the Uppala and Kanhangad coastal areas where erosion of the coast was witnessed.

Unnithan requested the officials to take the necessary measures to resolve the issue.

He also contacted the state fisheries minister over the phone and requested him to focus on the problems of the people living in the coastal areas of Kasargod and take necessary action to improve their living conditions.

Around 40 coconut trees and around 300 metres of the coast of Uppala have been washed away. As a result, around 20 houses in the area are in danger.

The MP was accompanied by local leaders M C Khamaruddin, T A Moosa, M B Yusuf and others.
