Jai Tulunadu organisation requests Kerala legislator to make Tulu official language

Kasargodu: Jai Tulunadu, Kasargodu unit headed by Harikant Kasaragodu, Unit President appealed to the MLAs to bring it to the notice of the Kerala Government to provide official status to Tulu language in the State.

A memorandum of appeal along with necessary documents was submitted to Manjeshwar MLA A. K. M. Ashraf and Kasargodu C. H. Kunhambu. On the occasion, MLA Ashraf assured to bring the issue to the notice of the government in the next session. And also, MLA Kunhambu assured to work towards providing official status for Tulu language.

Organisation unit Secretary Karthik Perla, Treasurer Prashanth Rai Bandadka, Chief Convenor Praveesh Kulal and Member Deviprasad Rai were present.

Jai Tulunadu is an organisation that is a confluence of youth and elderly people who are striving to uphold and promote Tulu culture, thoughts, script and language in the region.
