Hubballi: State BJP president Prahlad Joshi while counter attacking H D Kumaraswamy said, “We are loyal dogs of the state and the nation. People of the state have lost faith in Kumaraswamy in 2008 itself. Now all of a sudden he is showing so much love towards North Karnataka. He speaks as if he alone can save North Karnataka, he criticized.
He was reacting to JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy’s statement describing BJP leaders as barking dogs.
“There are hundreds of mistakes committed by the state government over implementation of the Kalasa-Banduri project. Let Siddaramaiah convene the meeting with Goa CM. If they cannot, we are ready to meet the neighbouring CM along with minister M B Patil”, he said.
He further said that Rahul Gandhi, who is visiting the state over the agrarian crisis, must discuss with Sonia Gandhi about implementing Kalasa-Banduri project. Joshi also criticised opposition over reports of destroying crop ahead of Rahul’s visit in Haveri.
Commenting on the Bengaluru rape case, Joshi said that the law and order in the state has collapsed. “Chain snatchers are freely moving in broad daylight. Home minister K J George has failed to tackle major issues in the state. He should be removed from his post and be given some other portfolio”, Joshi said.
