Hubballi: In the Budarsingi village on Monday, February 24, pro-Pakistan slogans were found scrawled on the walls and doors of a higher primary school.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), DCRB, Dharwad, Raman Gouda Hatti, the slogans were noticed by the headmaster, who informed the police about the same.
The pro-Pakistan slogans were written on the walls and door with chalk in Kannada and it is not yet known who is responsible for the graffiti. “We will investigate the matter,” said DSP Hatti.
In the wake of the incident, the villagers staged a protest and demanded that action be taken against the perpetrators.
Condemning the incident, Congress leader H K Patil urged that the miscreants be identified and dealt with as soon as possible.
“The government has failed to identify the anti-social elements behind the act and punish them. The culprits need to be identified and punished. This is an unfortunate incident and the intelligence department should work to stop such incidents,” the Congress leader said.
