Hubballi: The ACB sleuths who raided the residence of the Assistant Commission of Commercial Tax were out for shock when they found a cache of silk saree stacked in the cupboards.
The ACB officials had struck the residence of Kariappa at Vishveshwara Nagar and what they saw was unbelievable. Expensive silk sarees, all in range of Rs 15,000 to 20,000 were found in the residence and the ACB sources have quantified it to 7,000 sarees costing about Rs one crore conveniently.
The ACB sleuths had a tough time counting the sarees and it is said that half a day was spent on only counting the sarees.
ACB SP Puttamadaiah had arrived at the spot and further probe is on.
