Hubballi: Home minister Basavaraj Bommai informed that some suspicious calls were made from satellite phones from the thick forests of the Belagavi, Uttar Kannada and Dakshina Kannada districts.
He was addressing the media persons before heading for his constituency. He said that he found out about these suspicious calls being made from these districts and added that an investigation into the matter is underway.
“I will reveal more information regarding the issue as soon as I can,” he told reporters.
Asked to comment about the allegations of “vendetta politics” behind senior Congress leader D K Shivakumar’s arrest, the minister said that the investigating agencies have made the move after thorough investigations.
