Hubballi: Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi has written to District in-charge minister Vinay Kulkarni about postponement of Huballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation development review meetings by the local administration.
The HDMC review meeting was scheduled on September 19 but was put off following the demise of the former Minister Qamarul Islam. It was decided to hold the meeting on October 3. But it was postponed to October 6 and now, it has again been rescheduled to October 7.
Taking exception to the sudden changes being made without consulting other elected representatives, including Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Jagadish Shettar, Pralhad Joshi has written a letter to district in-charge Vinay Kulkarni.
In the letter released to the media, Joshi has expressed displeasure about the Minister’s behaviour, especially in matters concerning the development of the twin cities, particularly at a time when the residents were expressing anguish on social media over the official apathy.
Joshi has said that considering the gravity of the situation in the twin cities, he had rescheduled some of his important meetings to make himself available for the review meetings.
“What is even more disturbing is that these sudden changes have not even been brought to the notice Jagadish Shettar, which is indicative of your mindset,” Joshi has said in the letter.
These unilateral changes pertaining to an important review meeting show your apathy towards the residents of the twin cities,” Joshi said.
