Hubbali: The State Revenue Minister R V Deshpande slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, here on Monday, April 15, alleging administrative nature.

Speaking to the media, he said that Rs 500 Crore was sanctioned by the central government under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) scheme towards the payment of wages of labourers only once in its five-year regime.

“This proves the government’s total failure in the administrative capacity”, Deshpande said.

Criticising the NDA government as “anti-farmers,” he said, “When Manmohan Singh was the prime minister he had waived off Rs 72000 Crore crop loans. Former chief minister Siddaramaiah too has given upto Rs 3 Lakh interest-free loans to farmers. But the BJP-led NDA government has neglected farmers.”

He questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi why couldn’t his government look into it and find solutions.

Meanwhile, he also blamed the Modi government on employment generation. He said, “After PM Modi’s government came to power, the employment crisis rate has gone upto 6.1 percent, while it was just 2.1 percent during the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime.”

Deshpande criticised the NDA government stating that whatever schemes and projects were implemented by BJP were the ones already negotiated and prepared by the Congress party.

“They are making fake propaganda and taking the credit of the projects that aren’t by BJP”, he claimed.

Deshpande opined that fighting the elections based on caste, religion and money was not a good development in a democratic setup.
