Hubballi: Income Tax Department officials conducted raids on 30 cloth stores in Hubballi on Thursday, December 5.
More than 60 IT officials from Goa and Hubballi were involved in the raids on Gangavati Silk Palace and S T Bhandari & Sons located in Dajiban Peth and several other places.
According to reports, the raids were conducted based on the allegations of tax evasion and billing of fake invoices.
Sources said that the officials are currently conducting an investigation and checking relevant documents.
