Hubbali: Member of Parliament V S Ugrappa of Congress ridiculed the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders here on Wednesday, May 8, stating that they had lost their mental stability.
Speaking to media, he said that BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa, MLA Jagadish Shettar and other BJP party leaders had lost their minds and cited it as the reason for them making “nonsensical” statements.
He slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, “PM Modi is accusing former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi of being a corrupt prime minister but he must understand that he himself is involved neck deep in the Rafale fighter jet deal scam. This makes him the worst and corrupt prime minister, the country has ever seen.”
“He is afraid of the 2019 general election results as he knows that he is going to lose miserably. That is the reason he kept mum for five years and in the last minute, is speaking nonsense. He must know that it is proven that there was no scam in Bofors deal”, he added.
Ugrappa said, “A prime minister who is not capable of protecting the crucial defence deal documents, cannot be trusted with the security of the nation.”
He reiterated that there will not be changes in the state politics and that the Congress and Janata Dal (S) state coalition government would run smoothly and complete its five-year term successfully.
