Davangere: The Bharatiya Janata Party MLA M P Renukacharya opined that the Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition government would dissolve by May 23, here on Tuesday, April 16.

Addressing a gathering during the campaigning for BJP Davangere Lok Sabha constituency candidate G M Siddeshwara at Honnalli, he said that after the Lok Sabha election results are announced on May 23, on the same midnight, the state coalition would dissolve.

He taunted the Public Works Department (PWD) Minister H D Revanna and said, “The superstitious belief of lemon power, astrology and others will not come to use that day, as some of the Congress sources who are close to me have said that the ‘unconditional’ support that they had given to JDS will be withdrawn.”

“By this the ‘dynasty politics’ will come to end and the BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa will once again become the chief minister”, he added.

Meanwhile, commenting on the political cold war between State Water Resource Minister D K Shivakumar and State Home Minister M B Patil, over the Lingayat separate religion row, he said that M B Patil had already lost his mental stability out of fear that he would lose his home minister chair.

Renukacharya said, “Both Patil and DKShi are pretending with regard to Lingayat separate religion issue. DKShi who is asking for an apology for interfering in the matter now, could have avoided this development from happening during the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government.

“DKShi’s apology is purely a gimmick, keeping in mind the Lok Sabha election”, he alleged.
